Makadara Member of Parliament George Aladwa now claims that President Uhuru Kenyatta's Luo Nyanza allies are the biggest victims of his recent tour of the region.
The President was on Thursday and Friday hosted to the region by opposition leader Raila Odinga, the region's political kingpin.
In a Saturday morning interview on Radio Jambo's 'Mazungumzo Waziwazi' programme, Aladwa alleged that the move was disadvantageous to Jubilee Party allies from the region who have now lost their relevance.
He said that now that Uhuru and Raila are close friends, the group has nothing to do and also lacks a reason to bash and criticize Raila to impress the president as was the case earlier.
"Hawa sasa wamepoteza mwelekeo maana sasa hawana sababu ya kupiga kelele (the group has been rendered useless, they no longer have anything to do)," he said.
The MP added that Uhuru did not need any people purporting to be his allies from the region in the first place, especially after they failed him terribly in the 2017 elections.
He observed that the group did not only fail to channel any votes from the region into his basket, but also did not succeed in securing even a Ward Representative seat for the Jubilee Party.
"Hii ilikua aibu isiyo na kifani. Baada ya kushindwa kumletea Rais hata kiti kimoja, sasa tena wanamwona ameungana na Raila.
(Its was very shameful on their side as after failing to deliver, they again see the President reuniting with the man they had deployed themselves to fight)," he added.
However, he hardly named any names despite making it clear that he personally accompanied the Opposition Leader for the event.
