Kuria, in a sarcastic tone, said he is apologizing to governors Ferdinand Waititu of Kiambu, Ann Waiguru of Kirinyaga, Kiraitu Murungu of Meru and Francis Kimemia of Nyandarua for claiming there is no development in the region.

“I have seen the governors say that there is development in their counties, and I want to apologise to them for insinuating that there is no development (in the region),” Kuria said.

The controversial MP was referring to his New Year Eve claim when he said that President Uhuru Kenyatta is taking development to other regions.

A claim that irked Mr President and forced him to rebuke Kuria.

Kuria also hailed President Kenyatta during the press address as a very good man who he has defended all through to a point that he faced legal sues.

“I am very happy that the likes of Martha Karua and Glady Wanga have seen what I have been telling them. I have been telling them that the President is a very good man but they did not listen. I am happy that they have now seen it and joined me in defending the President,” he said.
