For second time in as many weeks, Uhuru scolded the former Devolution minister in public, with his fury focusing on unpaid dues of Maize farmers amounting to Sh2.5 billion.

"There is no farmer on earth who can supply maize worth Sh200 million per season. I am a farmer and I find this rather weird. There is something conning us.

"Agriculture minister, pay these farmers their dues, investigate the matter and bring culprits for prosecution. If you cannot, then be prepared to face my wrath," said a furious president.

During the Nairobi International Trade Fair early this month, Uhuru openly scolded Mr. Kiunjuri in his mother tongue, a reason why the former MP should be worried.

This comes just few months after maize farmers in Eldoret accused the government of delaying their payments without explanation.

And on sugarcane industry, Uhuru insisted that those who played part in embezzlement of billions pumped to Mumias sugar.

"We have pumped millions by farmers are not getting anything. We want to know who is this defrauding us," he said.
