Political analyst Mwangi Njui has faulted Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika and Bahati lawmaker Kimani Ngunjiri's complaints after the withdrawal of their bodyguards
The duo who are among several other leaders allied to Deputy President William Ruto who confirmed having their protection clipped, after attending a fundraiser cum political rally in Nakuru's Wakulima Market on Friday.
The Nakuru-based commentator is now wondering why they are lamenting, while millions of other Kenyans are experiencing the same.
The commentator even encouraged the government to recall the remaining bodyguards and strip all the remaining lawmakers of their protection for equity.
"Mbona wao wanalia ilhali sisi hatuna ulinzi na tuko sawa? Ikiwezekana watolewe hata wote" he said during an interview on Radio Sauti ya Mwananchi's Cheche show Saturday evening.
(Why are they complaining yet the rest of us are comfortable? The government should take away the remaining bodyguards).
He called for calm among the affected politicians, noting that the situation could be emanating from a simple hitch after which they will most likely have their detail reinstalled.
"Wasiwe na wasiwasi, huenda wale askari walihitajika kwingine bali watarudishwa tu," added Njui.
(There is no need for alarm, may be the officers were needed elsewhere, and will later be returned to them).
Others who had their protection clipped include; Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu.
The team has been accompanying the DP to his weekly engagements, and has been endorsing his 2022 presidential bid, despite Uhuru's calls against the same.
