Speaking on Radio Citizen’s ‘Mjadala Wa Citizen’ on Monday morning, the county boss expressed his readiness to take the bigger challenge upon the retirement of President Uhuru Kenyatta.

He expressed his burning desire to steer the nation to success, promising to better the country on all fronts.

He maintained that he is not after power, but is solely after the change and the betterment of the lives of Kenyans, and save it from its current shortcomings, including a repetitive poor leadership.

‘’Mimi sitaki ukubwa wala mamlaka ila naamini naweza kubadilisha maisha ya wakenya na ndio maana ninawania urais (I am vying not for power but for the sake of Kenyans),’’ he said.

Mutua further hit out at people downplaying him and his bid, vowing not to allow people to use his youthfulness to overlook him.

He noted that the older leaders who are considered more experienced have failed to salvage the nation which has instead continued to plunge into poverty, poor health care and corruption.

The Governor urged Kenyans to embrace the youth and support him come 2022.

‘’We should not constrain our dreams because we are young,’’ he said.

‘’Wakenya waniunge mkono ili tubadilishe Kenya (Kenyans should support me so that we can together spearhead changes),’’ he added.

He is expected to vie on his Maendeleo Chapchap Party.
