Former Mwingi Central Member of Parliament Joe Mutambu has claimed that only Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga can determine the Kenyan politics.
Speaking on Wednesday, he claimed that the looming 2022 general elections will revolve around him, and its outcome will depend on his input, and whether or not he will participate.
He said that its only Raila who determines the polls and the entire political debate in Kenya, terming him the strongest single politician in Kenya, bigger than all the others.
"The first person who determines the Kenyan politics, whether we like it or not, is Raila Odinga. No one else has that gift (Mtu wa kwanza anadetermine siasa ya Kenya, tupende tusipende, ni Raila Odinga. Na hatuna mtu mwingine mwenye hiyo kipawa)," he said on Radio Citizen's Jungu Kuu, Wednesday night.
The politician who is a member of President Uhuru Kenyatta's Jubilee Party suggested that Raila is equally stronger than Uhuru and his deputy William Ruto politically.
He termed Raila the only person who can immediately switch his supporters to his party of liking and make them automatically support his preferred aspirant, a gift the two lack.
According to Mutambu, on matters political parties, none of the two have at any point formed a single party stronger than Raila, hence their move to merge theirs to beat his ODM.
On Wiper Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Kalonzo Musyoka, he observed that the former Vice President is below all the three, and is more of a tribal kingpin than a national leader.
"Even when forming political parties they cant match Raila's power, Kalonzo is on the other hand just making rounds Ukambani, he cannot go past there (Hata Uhuru na Ruto wakiunda Chama hawawezi pata ile uzito ya Raila. Kalonzo naye hawezi toka pale Ukambani, anazungukia tu pale)," he added.
