It has emerged that celebrated business mogul Manu Chandaria remains simple behind the scenes, despite being ranked among the most successful businessmen in Kenya.
Though ranked among the richest people in Kenya, thanks to his multimillion business ventures, Chandaria is not among the people with lots of clothing, and only owns a ten shirts.
He also owns a few sweaters, two belts and five suits, according to the Standard on Friday.
The certified engineer is the Chair and Chief Executive Officer of the Comcraft, a Kenyan-based steel and aluminium group which he inherited from his father who established it after his arrival in Kenya from India in 1915.
The company has an annual revenue of $2 dollars and boasts of about 30,000 employees across three continents, and was at some point the largest steel manufacturers in the continent.
He also has companies operating in London, Geneva and other places across the world.
However, he remains a very down to earth man, judging by a comparison between his financial status and his lifestyle.
He also owns a number of popular brands especially in Kenya, which has made him a popular person and a household name in the nation.
