Politicians allied to Deputy President William Ruto have continued with their attacks on former Premier Raila Odinga, accusing him of derailing the second in command.
Speaking at Kangaita Primary School in Kirinyaga County, the group on Sunday fired shots at Raila for reportedly trying to stop Ruto's presidency, with Naivasha MP Jayne Kihara taking direct shots at the leader.
The lawmaker accused Raila of plotting against the DP, saying he has been in the political scene for too long, and should leave for retirement as he is no longer useful.
"Mr Odinga should pack up and go home and leave Ruto to pursue his presidential ambitions," said the parliamentarian, in the presence of the Deputy President.
On his part, Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichungwah claimed the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) which enjoys the backing of Raila is a plot to create positions for a few politicians.
He claimed the initiative was a scheme to create swats for a few rich "political rejects", while the DP insisted that the Jubilee party is united and committed.
"Jubilee is intact and will continue focusing on transforming the country by initiating development projects," he said.
