Another Member of Parliament allied to the ruling Jubilee Party has come out to condemn the block's political moves.
Speaking on Radio Jambo's 'Mazungumzo waziwazi' on Monday evening, Bahati lawmaker Kimani Ngunjiri opposed the anticipated cabinet reshuffle.
This follows claims that President Uhuru Kenyatta is planning to rearrange his ministers, to include suggestions from the opposition side, in what will be termed a unity government.
But according to Ngunjiri, the President is slipping the nation into a dictatorial state, bashing him for single-handedly arriving at the decision without consulting with his Party.
"Hii sasa ni dictatorship maana hakuna mtu ameambia anapanga serikali ya muungano. Basi si katiba itolewe ndio afanye anavyotaka (the nation is now going dictatorial as he never consulted anyone in the party, we are then better off without a constitution)," he said.
He also attacked the President for misleading Kenyans regarding the concluded general election, noting that the pending changes mean that he shouldn't have subjected Kenyans to the polls.
He attributed the yet-to-be-proved forthcoming reshuffle to opposition leader Raila Odinga's claims of rigging after the election, accusing the duo of selfishness.
"Basi walitufanyisha kazi ya kuenda kwa uchaguzi ya nini? Si wangekaa tu waunde serikali ya muungano? Huu ni ubinafsi( they shouldn't have formed the unity government from the beginning and not taken the nation through the elections)," he added.
This comes barely a month after his Nandi hills counterpart Alfred Keter opposed Deputy President William Ruto's 2022 presidential bid.
