Alice Chae, former Nyamira County MP, while speaking at Gusii stadium wondered why 'selfish' male MPs were opposing the Gender Bill something that prompted Aden Daule to withdraw it before voting.

"Women have rights to serve as leaders as men but it is sad the the lazy, selfish men who fears women opposed the Gender Bill until it was withdrawn. It means male politicians don't want to change their poor styles of leadership in this country," she noted.

Ms Chae reiterated that male legislators should accept more women to join leadership since most male leaders have turned to be corrupt.

She denied claims that women are flower girls who won't add nothing to the National Assembly.

"It is the constitution which requires more women. It is high time men to accept and stop unnecessary politicking over Gender equality," she added.

The former Egesa FM presenter noted that despite the fact that she lost her seat, she is still empowering youths, women and disabled persons.
