The Maendeleo Chap Chap party MP was first elected in 2013 on Chama Cha Uzalendo (CCU) party ticket.

In the run-up to the August 8, 2017, general election, Musau who is nicknamed "kawaya" quit CCU and joined Governor Alfred Mutua’s Maendeleo Chap Chap political outfit.

Musyoka is among the youthful and vocal Kamba politicians.

He is a close ally of Governor Alfred Mutua.

Musyoka schooled at Machakos primary school before proceeding to Machakos School for his secondary education.

He sat his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations in 1998.

In 2005, the MP graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Nairobi (UoN).

Before he joined active politics in 2013, Musyoka was the Chief Executive officer (CEO) of his own company Tekna International Kenya.

He also worked as the advisor in Robotics at the Ministry of Information, Communication, and Technology (ICT).

Musyoka is a staunch Christian.

He is married with children.

Political pundits observe that the youthful MP is among Kamba politicians to watch out in 2022.

There are speculations that the youthful MP could contest for the Machakos gubernatorial seat in 2022.
