Siaya Senator James Orengo has again reiterated that Raila Odinga is the better bet for Kenyans to succeed president Uhuru Kenyatta 2022 when his second term in power comes to an end.

Speaking in the burial of jubilee secretary general Raphael Tuju younger brother Kefa Tuju in Siaya County, Orengo drummed up for former prime minister support in his bid to the top position.

“There are many people who do not want me to talk about this, but I will always say it, Mr Odinga is the best person to be the president as he understands devolution and issues facing Kenyans best. This is his time,” said Mr Orengo as quoted by the Nation.

He added that Kenya is on the right track of revolution and no doubt for Raila Odinga to take up the presidential mantle successfully.

ODM Chairman John Mbadi confirmed that Nyanza vote block is intact behind the party leader and 2022 will carry the day to clinch top seat claiming that central Kenya has no presidential candidate to be fielded.

“Unlike the past when they usually prepare one very early, as you can see Central have no preferred candidate. This is our chance, Mr Odinga has never been close to power like he is this time round, lets support him,” said Mr Mbadi who is also doubles up as ODM party leader.

Raila allies have been constantly emphasizing that Raila Odinga to be on the ballot in the next general election thought Raila himself have been stashing claiming to be spearheading unity among Kenya communities.
