Nairobi senator Johnson Sakaja has mounted pressure on President Uhuru Kenyatta to sack bad elements in his cabinet.
The youthful Senator who was speaking during Thursday's Senate sitting has slammed politicians who are opposed to the war on graft.
This comes amid of claims by Deputy President William Ruto's allies who have said that the onslaught on graft is meant to scuttle his 2022 bid.
"If you are a thief you run scared, but if you are honest in your dealings in public life please support this fight because were snatching away the future from our own children,” he said.
Senator Sakaja has asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to move with speed and rein in on those behind corruption in the government.
Sakaja said the time has come for the President to change tactics in doing things.
"Mr President, you cannot do the same thing the same way and expect different results," he added.
Sakaja said that the head of state has intelligence at his disposal hence he is aware of the corrupt individuals in his cabinet.
