President Uhuru Kenyatta on Saturday showcased his footballing skills after he scored an impressive penalty against Kisii Governor James Ongwae on Sunday. The head of state looked composed as the county boss took to the goal to stop him from scoring. Both the President and the governor were officially dressed.
Uhuru made short steps before he took the spot kick. Attempts by the governor to save the kick proved futile as the leaders marked the kick off of the 6th edition of the Kenya Inter-County Sports and Cultural Association (KICOSCA) games. Uhuru asked leaders and other Kenyans to work together for the sake of development.
"We must encourage good work and I think this is a commendable job. We would like to see governors emulate the work that has been done here in Kisii County," the Head of State added. The President also said that the problem of youth employed has affected the lives of many.
He further said that his government was committed to ensuring that all Kenyans benefit from the national cake before the expiry of his term in power."If we cannot solve the problem of the youth as a country, then we cannot achieve tangible development," President Kenyatta said.
