The Laikipia East Pember of parliament Amin Deddy Mohamed has weighed in on the sacking of Mwangi Kiunjuri as Agriculture cabinet secretary.
Speaking after the head of state did away with the CS, the MP lauded President Uhuru, saying that the whole of Laikipia was behind the decision.
"We want to tell the head of state that we love him as the people of Laikipia East and we are fully behind him and the steps that he is taking we support him all of us. There had been fears that Laikipia would explode in protests against the sacking of Kiunjuri as the former CS hails from Laikipia county.
To a section of political observers, the sacking of Mwangi Kiunjuri did not come as a surprise as he was seen to be engaging in activities that undermined the head of state.
In his farewell speech yesterday, Kiunjuri said that he was not surprised that he was thrown out of the cabinet.
