Some incumbent legislators are already in fear of losing the seat due to frequent increase in a number of people salivating for their positions.

Here are some legislators in the home county of Deputy President William Ruto who are likely to be sent home in 2022;

William Chepkut

Ainabkoi constituency which is currently held by former Nicholas Biwott point man, William Chirchir Chepkut is on the watch list. The incumbent won on an independent ticket after beating the favourite, then MP, Samuel Chepkonga.

Chepkonga is likely to make a comeback and give the incumbent sleepless nights due to a very attractive record of total commitment to parliamentary activities and debates that were mutually beneficial to the constituents.

He's the kind of politician who would be an asset for a DP Ruto presidency given the fact that he's a lawyer and in the 11th Parliament, he was a vocal figure and chaired a powerful Justice and Legal Affairs committee.

Janet Sitienei

The Turbo MP won 2017 general elections on an independent ticket after losing Jubilee party nominations to political debutant Kevin Okwara. She's likely to have it rough retaining the seat with several candidates among them former MP Elisha Busienei jolting for the seat. Sitienei is said to have no strong presence on the ground and not vocal enough. Being DP Ruto's constituency, locals would wish to have an MP who is vocal on a local and national platform to support the Deputy president.

Gladys Boss Shollei

After pulling a surprise to win Uasin Gishu County Woman Representative seat, Shollei will face a stiff competition to retain the seat. Rael Chebichii Lelei who lost to her in Jubilee primaries is likely to make another stab on the seat. Shollei has been criticised for keeping mum on national politics. However, she has defended her silence saying she rather work silently for women rather than be a 'flower girl' and engage in petty politics. The locals, however, want vocal legislators who criticise and defend both top leaders and the residents.
