In a social media statement, Ahmednasir pegged UhuRuto's delivery at 99 per cent in achieving what they promised Kenyans in their manifesto.

However, the lawyer wants the duo to borrow a leaf from retired President Daniel Moi in two areas that he feels they are yet to perform; curbing soil erosion and tree planting in the counties.

"JUBILEE has delivered 99% of its manifesto...now that it has overachieved my proposal to the party's politburo is to adopt 2 populist agenda from the Moi era: (a) fighting soil erosion (b) tree planting in the counties," Ahmednasir wrote in his twitter handle.

Prior to the 2017 general elections, Jubilee issued a blueprint with four pillars, with 100 per cent transition from primary to secondary topping the list.

Even as Ahmednasir makes the appeal to Jubilee administration, counties are still grappling with biting drought situation that has ravaged across the country, threatening the survival of livestock and human life.

It is hoped that Uhuru and Ruto will heed the call to increase vegetation cover across the counties, thus saving the face of Kenya.
