A couple of months ago, Kenyans had renewed hope in the fight against a cancer quickly eating up our nation by the name corruption.

However, with the look of things and the glaring graft reports hitting the headlines, we are a doomed nation.

The spat between the three arms of government in the public gives a dim and grim picture of this war.

Chief Justice David Maraga, President Uhuru Kenyatta, ODM supremo Raila Odinga and Deputy President William Ruto seem to be reading from different scripts on how to slay this monster.

The problem stems from the disjoint factor between the three arms of government in the fight against corruption.

Nevertheless, the situation has gotten to toxic levels and in as much as Kenyans have maintained their calm in matters fighting corruption, heads need to roll.

This is the time that President Uhuru must convert the tough talk and walk the talk on corruption.

Corruption which has inarguably increased during his tenure not only threatens the growth and development of many Kenyan lives but also his legacy.

If he fails to fight it; Uhuru will always look down on his sunset years with a bout of failure inspired by spiralling corruption.

Kenyans are not interested in the development agenda if all the monies end up in a mafia type syndicate and no value for taxpayers’ money is ever attained.

A keen observer will sympathize and be sorry for the over 70 per cent of the unemployed youths and a further 90 per cent of Kenyan women who can't afford a meal a day.

The judiciary, on the other hand, should get its act together. It’s time to lock up the destroyers of many dreams who do it through economic sabotage.

To the DPP Noordin Haji, this is the time for him to maintain his speed in the war against graft. Let us see more people behind bars with concrete evidence that they are culpable of corruption dealings.

We are living at a time when we also need spiritual intervention to slay this dragon otherwise it will bring Kenya to the ground as a few insensitive people loot to the last coin.
