Muthama said he will join the gubernatorial race if the Wiper's gubernatorial candidate Wavinya Ndeti refuses to drop former East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) MP Peter Mathuki as her running-mate.

"I will support Wavinya on one condition, she has to change her deputy Peter Mathuki. If not, she should forget about it. The person deputizing her is unfit," Muthama said.

He addressed mourners at a burial ceremony in Kangundo Sub County on Monday.

Muthama said he is planning to vie for the presidency in future.

"I'm not stopping there. After I'm done, I will go for the top seat," Muthama said.

He lauded the Wiper's decision to support Jubilee Government's 'Big Four' agenda.

Muthama, however, condemned the MPs who accompanied Deputy President William Ruto to a fundraiser function in Matungulu on Sunday.

He said Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka is the only certified Kamba leader to meet President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy and others doing so are enemies of the community .

"We can't have two chiefs in one location, Kalonzo is the only leader who is supposed to speak on behalf of the community and those MPs meeting the deputy in secret should feel ashamed of themselves," Muthama said.
