Police officers in Kisii County are hunting down goons who set on fire a widow's house in Ekemuga village in Bogeche, Amabuko, Nyaribari Masaba Constituency.
Kisii County commissioner Godfrey Kigochi said police have already started looking for the goons suspected to be hired by the widow's neighbor.
He said the perpetrators will face the full force of the law.
"It is sad and painful that armed goons stormed Teresia Kwamboka Gekonge home and burnt her house. Kwamboka is a widow who has been troubled by her neighbor who is suspected to have hired the goons. I want to reiterate that the goons must be brought to book," said Kigochi in his office on Thursday.
The county security boss appealed to local youths to stop being used to commit crime adding that the law won't spare law breakers.
Kigochi challenged youths to be at the front line fighting crime but, not committing crime.
"Youths should not be given few coins to buy illicit brew to commit crime. Any youth found engaging in criminal activities will be sent to jail," he said.
He assured the widow that she will get justice.
