The Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) Committee that was formed after the famous March 9, 2018 handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga will give its report in October.
Lawyer Paul Mwangi, a member of the committee says they are finalizing on their work.
Speaking on Citizen TV's 'Nipashe Weekend' on Saturday, Mwangi said the committee will complete its meetings with Kenyans in June.
The committee is collecting views from Kenyans on various issues before compiling a report.
"We expect to conclude public hearings and meetings with Kenyans in June before we draft our report to the President and former Prime Minister," Mwangi said.
The lawyer stated that the committee has so far held public hearings in North Eastern, Eastern, Coast and parts of Western Kenya.
The BBI Committee is co-chaired by Garissa Senator Yusuf Haji and his Busia counterpart Amos Wako.
The committee has representatives from the government, opposition, religious groups and civil society.
Among issues the committee is said to be discussing is a referendum, government structure, inclusivity, electoral reforms and the country's unity.
As Kenyans wait for the committee's report, the call for referendum continues to take centre stage.
Majority of politicians are pushing for a review of the 2010 constitution.
On Saturday, Central Organisation of Trade Union (Cotu) Secretary General Francis Atwoli revealed that referendum will be held either this year or early next year.
The Cotu boss said referendum push is unstoppable and proposed for a parliamentary system of governance.
