Deputy President William Ruto has said that he had never been involved in any corrupt dealings.
Speaking on Sunday during an interview on NTV, Ruto stated that throughout his political career, he has never been involved in any corrupt dealings.
During the interview, the DP further refused to reveal his sources of wealth and net worth. He maintained that it was not the right moment to disclose his value to the public.
He maintained that he was ready to undertake a lifestyle audit as ordered by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
“My friends, William Ruto has never ever been involved in any form of corruption either as MP or today serving as deputy president and I give my pledge that I will not,” said the DP.
NTV's Mark Masai asked Ruto pledge that he will never be involved in any corruption scandal.
The interview has elicited mixed reactions from Kenyans.
During the interview, the DP stated that Jubilee had done a lot of in terms of fighting corruption but other agencies were derailing the fight.
