Deputy President William Ruto has trained his guns on the 2022 presidential race and has put in place strategies to help him overcome any hurdles that may stop him from inheriting President Uhuru Kenyatta.
According to source, the DP has already established a team of strategists to shape his journey to the top seat.
The think tank is holed up in a building at the posh Karen estate where they are churning out political schemes and maneuvers for their boss to follow ahead of 2022.
“All his people, call them strategists, are mostly operating from Karen. That is a political office, so to speak,” a source aware of the group’s activities told Sunday Nation.
According to a Rift Valley MP, who is an ally of the DP, the team is collecting political intelligence which is helping the DP choose on what to talk in his tours.
The same team is said to have persuaded the DP to join the referendum bandwagon to avoid being a lone ranger.
