Over the weekend, Ruto seemed to take credit in the victory of David Ochieng'and Julius Mawathe, with a section of his allies claiming that he sponsored the winner secretly.

But according to Mogeni, Ruto should allow Wiper party to celebrate the victory in Embakasi South, adding that the response by his team is an act of desperation.

"I am shocked that the DP is trying to reap where he didn't sow'. He never fielded any candidate. It was an ODM and Wiper race. The credit should go to Kalonzo Musyoka so to speak. Let's be real at times," he said at AM Live show.

The celebrated lawyer added: "ODM has not been weakened. It was just bad luck and that happens regula. Ruto has not been tested anywhere and his time is coming. He won't make it."

The former LSK chair also dismissed claims that Ruto's team had made significant progress in taking off Nyamira from the ODM, adding that the region remains an ODM zone.

"It cannot be his zone. Nyamira region has always remained loyal to Raila Odinga. That's a fact that came be backed with statistics. Anything beyond that is mere excitements and illusions," he said.

Senator Mogeni has been leading onslaught against DP William Ruto. He insists that the DP is opposed to the fight against corruption. Last week, he vowed to ensure all corrupt government officials are kicked out.
