Joseph Irungu alias Jowie is fighting for freedom after being arrested over the murder of Nairobi businesswoman Monica Kimani.
Irungu, who is the main suspect in the case, on Tuesday applied for a fresh bail while appearing before Justice James Wakiaga.
Irungu, who has maintained that he is innocent as far as the murder is concerned, assured the High Court Judge that he is ready to cooperate until Kimani's killer is unmasked.
Jowie also noted that his family is ready to deposit a security, while arguing that the circumstances behind his case have changed for the period he has been behind bars.
Through his lawyer David Ayuo, the accused told the court that a relative had accepted to host him, and ensure he attends the court proceedings if granted bail.
Ayuo also told the court that Jowie cannot leave the country because the police took his passport.
Justice Wakiaga directed him to appear before Justice Jessie Lesiit on May 29, for the hearing of his case before the bail application scheduled for June 18.
