Popular Kameme FM news presenter Moses Kanyira has expressed his undying support for Deputy President William Ruto whose life he has tried to draw parallels with his.
Kanyira has said that he finds no reason to 'hate' on Ruto whom he says has overcome insurmountable challenges to become Kenya's second most powerful man.
"Am not campaigning for anybody but humbly allow me to ask few questions concerning my fellow hustler and a son of a peasant farmer, Doctor William Ruto DP, from little known Sugoi village," Kanyira says in parts on a Facebook a post.
He adds: "Many people might shelve their opinion and support on this gallant son of Sugoi fearing repercussions from political antagonists. Why should I hate the DP who really struggled from a chicken business as I also struggled from selling charcoal?"
The radio presenter who early last year contemplated suicide after he was fired from Kameme FM before he was recalled back, wonders which crime Ruto has committed to those 'hating' on him while they 'cannot justify it in a court of the law and before God'.
Kanyira goes on to challenge Ruto's haters why they should 'curse him because he is donating his kindness to the church of God'.
"Have I forgotten the power of giving in the Holy Bible? Is it a crime to support a brother from a poor background? Why am I educating my kids, if I have no hope that they can rise from the poor background to become prominent citizens? Why should someone force me to hate my brother for no reason apart from unauthenticated narrative that huyo ni mbaya?" he asks.
He concludes the lengthy post by alluding to a biblical verse where he says 'if you have never sinned, be the first one to cast a stone'.
