Catholic Priest Fr Cosmas Ondari Omboto will be buried at Nyabururu Parish in Kitutu Chache South, Kisii County.
Fr Cosmas was brutally killed on November 21, 20018 by bullets shot by suspected Cameroon military officers outside a Parish Church entrance in Mamfe Diocese.
He hails from Sengera area in Bomachoge Borabu, Kisii County.
A family member who spoke in confidence on Thursday revealed that the remains of Cosmas will be laid to rest at Nyabururu Parish.
"He will be buried at Nyabururu on December 6, 2018," the source revealed.
The source expressed confidence that Kenyan authorities will intervene to ensure the family gets justice.
The priest's killing shocked leaders from Kisii region with Kisii County Deputy Governor Joash Maangi condemning the brutal killing.
Kisii Catholic Bishop John Mairura who ordained the priest described the deceased as a youthful, energetic person who was dedicated to preach the Gospel.
Kisii University Catholic Chaplain Lawrence Nyaanga said Omboto's life was terminated prematurely when he was most needed.
Omboto's remains were flown into the country on Thursday evening ahead of his burial.
