Speaking on Monday, the commentator noted that Ruto is currently depending on continued politicking as his 2022 strategy, which he observed will backfire in the polls.

He said that this has already shown 3 years in advance, judging by the bashing and criticism the DP has been receiving from a good number of politicians lately.

"Mfumo wa Ruto in wa kupiga siasa mfululizo na ambao unaonekana haufanyi kazi ipasavyo. Ukiangalia vyema utaona unapingwa na watu wengi sana.

(This strategy of unending politicking is already failing. A keen look shows that it is already facing a lot of opposition)," he said on Radio Maisha's Bunge La Maisha, Monday morning.

The commentator advised that Ruto has chosen the wrong path yet the right one lies right before his eyes, and might have to pay in the coming days.

He noted that Ruto's guaranteed path to statehouse would be backing President Uhuru Kenyatta and his initiatives, and hanging on the government's achievements for mileage.

"Angemuunga mkono Rais katika ajenda zake nne na vita dhidi ya ufisadi ineguwa bora (he would be on the right path by supporting Uhuru and his Big 4 and anti corruption agenda)," added Anyonka.

Ruto who was initially discouraging his allies from politicking seems to have joined the same in full force and seems to have centred his politics on opposition leader Raila Odinga.
