In a barbed tweet on Saturday, the don held the view that the meeting was a partisan affair that was not organised with all Kenyans in mind.

He urged the organisers of meetings of that nature to ensure that they are inclusive, suggesting that the BBI was being employed to drive a wedge between Kenyans.

"After the Kisii BBI meeting, which was clearly partisan, one hopes the organisers of similar congregations will in future start thinking about the 47 million Kenyans who are fully united by the 2010 constitution but tragically divided by the BBI. Do we choose 2010 or BBI?" the don said.

Leaders from the Nyanza region congregated in Kisii county to discuss matters pertaining to the BBI.

The high profile meeting was graced by the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga.

The meeting was largely boycotted by politicians from the Nyanza region allied to Deputy President William Ruto.

DP Ruto criticised the BBI meeting in Kisii during his visit in Emuhaya, Vihiga County, saying that it was a waste of public resources.
