This is after Murgor, who is representing Cohen's widow Sarah Wairimu, claimed that the will which was prepared by Cohen's lawyer Chege Kirundi has been compromised.

This was the excuse that Wambui gave, through Murgor, while declaring that she will not attend the session for the opening and reading of the will, which had been slated for today (Friday).

Ombeta who is representing Cohen's family on Friday hit out at Murgor for allegedly soiling Chege's reputation, challenging him to air his concerns through the right channels.

“He is trying to throw mud into the water and say that nobody is going to have a bath in that water (sic),” he told the press at the Bruce House in Nairobi, adding that the will is intact.

“At this particular moment it is being opened; the will is sealed and has no problem," he added, a day after Murgor termed the will "severely compromised".

This comes following a publication by a local daily that indicated the late Cohen had left his Sh400 million mansion in Kitusuru to his sister Gabrielle Van Straten.

Sarah who is currently being held as the main suspect in the murder had initially asked the court to release her on bail so that she can pursue her half of Cohen's property.

Cohen will be buried at the Jewish Cemetery along Nairobi's Wangari Maathai Road on Monday, two weeks after his dead body was retrieved from a septic tank within his home.
