Uasin Gishu County Assembly leader of Majority Josphat Lowoi has asked Deputy President William Ruto not to campaign in his home county.
Speaking to the press on Sunday in Eldoret town, the Karuna Meibeki MCA said local leaders will campaign for the DP in the region hence he should concentrate in other regions to get national support.
"In Uasin Gishu County and North Rift as a whole, William Ruto is our undisputed presidential candidate and he should not spend most of his time in the region campaigning since we have taken care of it," said Lowoi who promised to campaign door to door for the DP to ensure that he clinches the presidency with 50+1 per cent votes.
"As per now, everything is fine in the region with God in control and we know come 2022 William Ruto will become the 5th president of the Republic of Kenya," he added.
The MCA, however, hit out at politicians against DP Ruto' presidency saying they will not succeed since if God has planned him to be president and that no one will stop it.
Lowoi called on Kenyans to support the DP in 2022 pointing out that his development record speaks for itself.
