The residents of Magwagwa ward in Nyamira are worried about their member of county assembly Fred Omayio's whereabouts since the recent defilement case against him which went viral in all media platforms.
Speaking to Hivisasa at Rikuruma market on Saturday, the residents are claiming that it's not good for them to be in a ward with no representative. The residents say that their MCA had been a good leader that they could reach out to.
After the MCA was released by a Nyamira court over a case of defiling an underage girl sometime in September, the residents say they have not seen their leader working for them as elected.
"As a resident of Magwagwa ward am worried about our MCA's where bouts since he was involved in defilement cases in Nyamira law courts, I want to request him to resume his normal duties. Let him be aware that errors are part of human life and we are still demanding for his services from him as our MCA," said Mzee Naftal Ombongi.
The residents also added that services in his office have been greatly affected but they believe that when he resumes everything will run smoothly as usual.
"If we can focus on the quality of services being delivered in the MCA's office, for sure there is a deviation on them, the mode of handling reports is never the same. But we hope this will take a different move upon his resume and return to work," added Mzee Naftal Ombongi.
