Kisii county residents have been told to ignore Huduma number registration at their won peril.
Speaking on Wednesday at the county headquarters, Kisii county Deputy Governor Joash Maangi said any resident who'll fail to get the huduma number may have difficult time accessing government services.
"Kisii residents should turn up and register for huduma number so that they can access government services easily. Whoever ignores to register for the number will have to carry the blame.
"The number will not only help the government in planning and National security but will consolidate other documents such Identity Card, NHIF, NSSF, KRA PIN and Driving Licence thus helping you not carry too many documents and have to recall many numbers," he said.
Maangi reiterated that the huduma number is not satanic as being claimed.
He challenged local church leaders to help in mobilizing residents across all corners of the county to turn up, and get their huduma number at respective areas of registration in villages.
"Chiefs need to ensure everyone who turns up to registration centers is given the huduma number," he added.
