Ever since Mwende Mwinzi landed an abassadorial job in Jubilee government, the exiled self-declared National Resistance Movement (NRM) leader Miguna Miguna has been been crying foul over the news, raising heated debate that he might have been eyeing the position.
In a series of tweets, Miguna has compared himself with Mwinzi, who according to him, is unfit for the post for she is a citizen of the United States of America.
For instance, the NRM leader says Mwinzi was born in the US a thing that disqualifies her from being a Kenyan citizen by birth unlike him.
"I was born in Kenya. Mwende Mwinzi was born in the USA. I went to school up to university and was exiled in 1988.
"Mwinzi went to school in the USA, worked and lived there most of her life. I've fought for freedom. Mwinzi has been appointed ambassador. I've been forced into exile," Miguna wrote.
He went further to justify his opposition to Uhuru's move to appoint Mwinzi, saying that she was born in the USA during a time when the foreign nation did not allow dual citizenship.
"More than 40 years ago when Mwende Mwinzi was born in the USA, both Kenya and USA did not allow dual citizenship. I have never renounced my citizenship and never lost my Kenyan citizenship.
"Uhuru Kenyatta has appointed a USA citizen as an ambassador and exiled a Kenyan by birth," Miguna's criticsm on President Uhuru further went.
