Controversial lawyer Miguna Miguna has accused Deputy President William Ruto of denying Kenyans freedom to act according to their wishes.
This is after Ruto fired warning shots to political leaders who have dragged his name to the maize scandal saying he will deal with them head-on.
Three Rift Valley Members of Parliament; Joshua Kuttuny (Cherangany), Silas Tiren (Moiben) and their Nandi Hills counterpart Alfred Keter have been accusing Ruto of being behind cartels who have led to the suffering of maize farmers due to low prices and delayed payments, a claim he has dismissed.
Speaking in Kirinyaga County on Saturday, the DP accused his opponents of a scheme to derail Jubilee's agenda and vowed to confront anyone trying to hurt President Uhuru Kenyatta's legacy.
“I will not allow anyone to halt the President’s projects and if you try to stop the government’s work, I will deal with you. Jubilee’s priority is construction of roads and ensuing electricity connection, but other things will follow at the right time,” he said during the official opening of Ndia Technical Training Institute.
The remarks, however, did not go down well with Miguna who termed them as 'threats' but vowed not to stop his criticism on 'tyrants' who include President Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga.
"The language of "I will not allow anyone" and "I will deal with those opposing the president" are those of authoritarian tyrants. We, Patriotic Kenyans, will not allow you @WilliamSRuto or @UKenyatta or @RailaOdinga or anyone else to threaten us," he tweeted on Saturday.
Miguna, who was deported to Canada early this year, has been one of the fiercest critics of Jubilee government and the March 9 handshake between Uhuru and Raila.
