According to Garissa Township MP Aden Duale, Korane send his contribution to the committee that organized the funds drive.

Speaking at White Star Restaurant in Kileleshwa on Sunday, Duale dismissed claims that governor Korane refused to contribute.

“Yes, the governor has sent some contribution of over Sh2 Million because he is part of Garissa county,” Duale said on Sunday.

The MP asked media to stop speculations on Idriss attempted murder and allow the police to their work.

He said that media speculations on the matter has caused suspicions among Garissa leaders and locals.

“We should give the police ample time to do and conclude their investigations into the matter instead of jumping into conclusions,” he added.

The leaders managed to raise over Sh21 Million in aid for Mukhtar medical bills.

Mukhtar is fighting for his life at Nairobi hospital Intensive Care Unit.

He was shot and injured by assassins on August 18 in Kileleshwa.

Two suspects have so far been arrested and charged in court in relation to the attempted murder.

Governor Korane is among people who were quizzed by detectives over the attempted murder.

Mukhtar's family has been accusing police of alleged plot to cover up the case after a key suspect David Mwai died in police cells at Parklands police station two weeks ago.
