The 2019 UEFA Champions League will undoubtedly remain etched in the minds of football lovers across the world.
Everything from the spectacular goals that made our jaws drop, to the miraculous comebacks that nobody saw coming for sure, and the individual brilliance of the players.
It was a high-octane stuff, the soccer version of Game of Thrones.
It will also be remembered for the sheer inspiration which came in spades.
Here are some of the lessons that were learnt from the European tournament.
1. Keep fighting even when the odds are stacked up against you
Sometimes you give up because you are down and the odds are stacked up against you.
That is the time to give your all.
Despite being down 3-0 to Barcelona on aggregate, Liverpool fought hard and turned tables.
Tottenham were also 3-0 on aggregate but they kept fighting and were able to kick Ajax out, and reach the final.
2. Close your ears to negativity
Had Liverpool and Tottenham listened to the naysayers, they sure would not have reached the final.
They played their game and ignored those who wrote them off.
Many are times we listen to those who say we can't, and end up throwing in the towel.
Learn to close your ears to the naysayers, and surround yourself with those who believe in your abilities.
