Eldas MP Adan Keynan and his Fafi counterpart Abdikarim Osman Mohamed had been summoned to appear before DCI on Monday to write statements in connection to the said sex tape.

The two legislators, however, failed to appear before the DCI sleuths.

According to the DCI, a summons against the four MPs was issued through the National Assembly Clerk.

Isiolo Woman Rep Rehema Jaldesa and her Kirinyaga counterpart Purity Ngirici are expected to appear before the DCI on Tuesda.

It is not clear whether Jaldesa and Ngirici will honor the DCI summons.

The DCI wants the MPs to respond to a defamatory complaint filed by Gedi.

Gedi lodged a complaint against the four legislators in connection to an unverified sex video that went viral in 2018.

However, Mr Jospehat Kuyoni, Director of Litigation and Compliance at Parliament says he advised the Clerk of the National Assembly not to have the four MPs honour the DCI summons.

Mr Kuyoni said the DCI summons is a threat to the immunity offered to Members of Parliament by the August House.

He argues that the case being probed by DCI does not arise from the duties and performance of the named Members of Parliament.
