Jubilee blogger Pauline Njoroge has elicited mixed reactions on social media after she commented on the recent graft scandals surrounding two multipurpose dam projects in Elgeyo-Marakwet County.
Ms Njoroge, took to Facebook where she asked why luxury towels were procured for the construction of the Sh63 billion dams?
"So someone procurement towels for construction of a dam. Maybe I don’t know much, but how are towels used in such a project? Aki mtu ajitolee anielimishe (could someone kindly educate me on this)?” she asked.
This comes after Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) George Kinoti revealed that one of the companies under investigations had been paid Sh20 million to deliver luxury towels to yards in Nairobi and Eldoret.
Other materials which were bought despite being unrelated to the construction of the dams include tiles and carpets.
Njoroge's post seems to have irked a section of netizens who accused her of hypocrisy considering she actively campaigned for the Jubilee government.
Others, however, made fun of the situation, coming up with funny reasons why it was necessary to buy the towels.
Here are some of the reactions by Kenyans.
