Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei has expressed his worries over fake activities the country has been indulged in.
Cherargei claims that many things in the country are fake.
Speaking on Monday morning during an interview at Citizen TV's Daybreak show, the youthful Senator said he was opposed to the handshake due to the high-level of insincerity involved while also terming it as fake.
The legislator who is a close ally of Deputy President William Ruto further mocked the National Super Alliance (NASA) outfit for deceiving their supporters of going to Canaan.
This was in reference to the current scams and scandals the NASA leaders have been linked to.
"There are so many fake things in this country; from fake Canaan to fake gold. We want to know the truth because Kenyans do not deal with gold; some of these things must be handled in an honest way," Cherargei said.
His remarks come after a leaked audio clip of a person alleged to be Bungoma Senator Moses Masika Wetangula was heard trying to calm down a Saudi man on a spat involving the fake gold scam in which the names of President Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta, ODM leader Raila Odinga, and Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang'i were invoked.
