A local politician in Nyamira County has issued Governor John Nyagarama with tough demands after his August 8, 2017 election victory was upheld.
Atati Kengere, who doubles as Kenya National Congress (KNC) party leader, argued that Nyagarama must deliver his camping promises.
"The county boss has been giving excuses that the case his main rival filed in court had derailed his performance. Now that the case is over let Nyagarama deliver to meet the county residents' needs," said Atati.
Mr Atati fired warning shots to lazy county employees saying Governor Nyagarama should send home corrupt and lazy staff.
He insisted the need of unity between Nyamira County MCAs, county executive for the sake of the smooth running of the county operations.
"MCAs and executive should speak in one voice and ensure more development projects are initiated. The ODM allied governor being the overall leader he should ensure county funds are used appropriately," he added.
The vocal politician stated that leadership wrangles in the county will derail development.
"I'm appealing to Nyagarama to work closely with MCAs for accelerated development in the county," he aded.
