Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has dismissed claims that he has a problem with Starehe MP Charles Njagua.
This is after Woman Representative Esther Passaris claimed that Sonko was not in good terms with Njagua popularly known as Jaguar.
Passaris, speaking at Pumwani Police Grounds on Saturday during Madaraka Day celebrations, urged the governor to unite political leaders in Nairobi adding that Sonko has been sidelining other leaders in the running of the county affairs.
The Woman Rep called for a handshake between Sonko and Jaguar saying they should work together for the benefit of Nairobi residents.
Governor Sonko however dismissed Passaris claims saying him ‘Sonko’ and Jaguar are in good terms and they talk regularly.
“I would like to tell you, (Passaris) that I have no problem with Jaguar and we talk almost on a daily basis. I don't need a handshake with him,” said Sonko in a video shared by NTV Kenya.
The governor during his speech said his government was ready to work with Passaris on development projects that will benefit Nairobi residents.
He however urged Passaris to ensure the projects that she wants to undertake comply with the law adding that no one is above the law.
