An elected Member of County Assembly in Nyamira County has asked Nyamira County Governor John Nyagarama for endorsement ahead of the 2022 polls.
Magwagwa ward MCA Fred Omayio, while addressing faithfuls of Magwagwa Seventh Day Adventist Church on Saturday, said he is the best candidate to succeed Governor Nyagarama.
"My political plans in 2022 is to vie for the governorship seat in our beloved county of Nyamira. The decision I have made is due to my good track record for the years I have served as an MCA. I urge the incumbent to consider endorsing me to take the leadership of Nyamira County to the next level," Omayio said.
According to the MCA, the people of Nyamira deserve a development-oriented leader to be their next governor.
"I am ready to extend my development record across Nyamira county. I have worked tirelessly to serve the electorates of Magwagwa ward. I am confident that I will win the governor seat with a landslide in 2022," he stated.
He appealed to politicians across Nyamira county to focus on development and shun divisive politics which will hinder development.
Omayio further appealed to Nyamira residents not to be cheated by political brokers whose intention is to clinch power and enrich themselves.
