Tom Mokua while speaking in Obwari village, Ekerenyo ward on Friday protested Nyagarama's laxity despite him promising accelerated development in the county.

"I am sympathizing with the people of Nyamira after having elected Nyagarama for a second term. He (Nyagarama) has decided not to perform. Nyamira people are suffering because of the wrong choice they made during the last general elections," said Mokua.

According to the vocal politician, Nyagarama has done too little on matters development.

"Nyagarama has condoned graft in his government something that has hijacked his development plans. It is shocking that the people of Obwari have no access to clean water to drink despite them rallying behind Nyagarama during the August 8, 2017, polls," stated Mokua.

Mokua challenged the county boss to ensure the people of Obwari have access to clean water, better roads and proper healthcare.

He also challenged the electorate to be vigilant and ensure they vote out non-performing leaders in 2022.

Mokua further urged residents to stop taking handouts from politicians who when they get to power, abandon their duties as the agents of development.
