ODM treasurer Timothy Bosire on Sunday fired shots at Senator Okong'o Mogeni, accusing him of absconding his overnight roles at the county level.

A report from the Auditor General exposed what could be mega scandal in Nyagarama's administration, with millions meant for projects going missing.

In the report, the Auditor General said millions of pending bills were cleared without receipts affirming whether or not the goods and services were offered.

On Sunday, Bosire blamed Senator Okong'o Mogeni of failing to put the county government in check, adding that he should change his tactics.

"It's sad that we are losing millions yet the senator is doing little. He should come out and tell us if he's working for Nyagarama or the people of Nyamira," he said.

"But as things stand, he is part of the mess in the county. We shall not entertain such mediocrity. People pretending to defend us yet they dine with government," he added.

Last week, Mogeni defended his actions, arguing that he has done his best to put Governor John Nyagarama under check in compliance with the law.

"I have ensured that he's summoned. It's now upon investigative authorities to take action. I have limits as a legislator," he said.

Both Mogeni and Bosire are critical in Raila Odinga's team. With Bosire working as treasurer, Mogeni is a lawyer and at times appears for the ODM.
