The DP’s tour started in Emuhaya, where he donated Sh2 million towards supporting 150 groups of women in a fundraising event held at the Esibila Primary School in West Bunyore Ward.

He was invited by the area Member of the County Assembly (MCA) Wimsy Manoah Osore.

“The DP donated Sh2 million shillings towards supporting our women groups. We managed to raise Sh3.5 million in total. He also donated Sh500, 000 and pledged to add Sh1 million next month for infrastructure development at Esibakala Secondary School,” said the MCA in a phone interview on Saturday.

“I thank the people of West Bunyore ward and Emuhaya Constituency in general for turning out in large numbers to welcome our DP,” added the MCA.

The former Eldoret North Member of Parliament (MP) was welcomed with banners showing support to his 2022 Presidential bid.

“Ruto for State House 2022,” read one of the banners.

In Sabatia, the home turf of ANC Party leader, residents turned up in large numbers as at Nabwani Trading Centre as he commissioned street lights.

The DP was accompanied by several leaders, among them Mumias East MP Ben Washiali.
