Here are five rules drivers easily forget when on the road:

1. Speeding

Many drivers speed to get to their destinations fast. This is a traffic rule broken by many drivers. Always drive at the recommended speed limit.

2. Not wearing seat belts

Many people don’t wear seat belts. This is an offence which is punishable by the law. Always buckle up regardless of the distance you going. Seat belts keep you safe in case of an accident.

Using mobile phone

Many drivers use their mobile phones when driving. This is an offence as it takes away your concentration from the road. Cell phones are considered to be great distractors hence, they should be kept away when driving or pull over before using one.

3. Not pulling over for emergency vehicles

It is rare to see other cars pull over for emergency vehicles on our Kenyan roads. This is an offence.

4. Not stopping

When a stop sign shows up, you are supposed to stop whether there are people or not. Always follow the rules to the latter to remain safe on the road. People who tend to neglect such signs cause accidents and end up regretting.
