In a tweet on Friday afternoon, the Machakos county boss asked leaders to engage in development activities to boost the country's economy.

"It is quite flabbergasting that instead of sitting down to find solutions and engaging in devpt. activities to spur the economy and create jobs, some politicians are engaged in trips around the country on a sycophantic and polarizing agenda that is not solving our youth's problems," he said.

Mutua, who was at Jomo Kenyatta University of Science and Technology (JKUAT) to celebrate the graduation of his wife, Lilian asked politicians to look for ways to create jobs for the youths.

This will be JKUAT's 33rd Graduation ceremony where a total of 3, 545 fresh graduates will be released to the job market.

During the same ceremony, JKUAT will be installed their new Chancellor Professor Joseph Mathu Ndung'u.

Mutua's sentiments come at a time President Uhuru Kenyatta has warned leaders against going around the nation campaigning in preparation of 2022 election.
