A fire on Monday evening broke out at a Kenya Pipeline depot at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).

According to airport officials, the fire whose cause is yet to be established did not interfere with any flights.

"Jambo! We confirm that there was a fire at Kenya Pipeline Company JKIA depot which has since been contained. Airport operation back to normal with no flight delays experienced," read a tweet from the Kenya Airports Authority. 

Reports indicate that no one was injured during the outbreak.
