Deputy President William Ruto's son, Nick Ruto, has been admitted to the bar.
The trending news has been shared widely on social media, including the KTN television facebook page.
On the page, a picture of Ruto greeting his son was shared. The two are seen smiling warmly at each other.
The good news, however, comes at a time Ruto is facing a court case that entails his hotel, Weston, built on alleged grabbed public land.
On a BBC television interview, as reported by Daily Nation digital, Ruto admitted that the land that was sold to him to build the hotel was grabbed.
Moments after KTN shared photos of the celebration of Nick's achievement, citizens on social media rushed to congratulate him and share their thoughts, some of which were hilarious.
Some people congratulated and wished him well, while others made ridiculous comments relating it to the Weston hotel land case.
The following are some of the comments on the KTN Facebook page:
"Steal and I will defend you, Papa..." Commented one Solomon Atito Kafaya.
"Has joined the wakora network.. Sasa hii kijana anajua amesomeshwa na pesa ya wizi.." Mundu Murathie wrote.
"Now he will defend like Orengo ..And the Weston will win .." Mbugua Moses commented.
